Adding a Sensor

  • Go to the Location
  • Click the Device
  • Go to Sensors
  • Click Add New Record
  • Input the necessary information
    • Assigned Device ID
    • Data Group ID
    • Poll Function
    • Name
    • Sensor Tag Name
    • Default Display Name
    • Register
    • Data Type
    • Read Write
    • Data Formula
    • Register Size
    • Data Source
    • Measurement Type
    • Units
    • Aggregate
    • Child Identifier
  • NOTE: If there is similar sensor, it would be easier to duplicate and make minor changes such as (Name, Register and Display Name)
  • Click Save Changes
  • After adding the sensor, go to the Detailed pages > Reports
  • Click the Data Tab where the new sensor was added
  • Click Populate All Sensors, you should see the recently added sensor to appear
  • Click Save Changes
  • Go to the Dashboard
  • Edit the Grid and click Populate All Sensors or Add new record
  • Click Save Changes before clicking Save on lower right side of the screen
